MGP City Plan prepared a master plan and detailed neighbourhood design for Al Mutlaa Residential City in Central Kuwait. This new city has a projected population of over 400,000 residents and covers more than 100 square kilometres.
Plans for the city were completed to plot-level detail, identifying specific coordinates for residential lots and complimentary non-residential land uses. MGP City Plan designed a series of residential neighbourhood types unique to Kuwait with the focal point of each neighbourhood being a central commercial retail area surrounding a large pedestrianized urban plaza. Pedestrian comfort was enhanced with shaded sidewalks and a network of greenways connecting residential areas to important community amenities.
